![]() The thumbscrews on our sample were overtight, however, and their position makes this annoying to remedy (we had to use pliers).īy default, the PSU length limit is 180mm, and it has small foam pads to rest on. The entire cage can also be shifted forward to maximise space for the PSU and its cables, or you can remove it altogether. These are tool-free for larger drives, locking them in with little pins, while 2.5” drives will need screws, and no attempt has been made to quell drive vibration noise with washers or rubber dampening material. Made of metal and independently removable using captive thumbscrews, their design is hard to fault, and they can also be moved to sit atop the PSU shroud if you prefer to show your SSDs off.Īdditionally, there is a two-bay HDD cage beneath the PSU shroud that accepts both 3.5” and 2.5” drives on its plastic sleds. There are no dedicated mounting spots for pumps or reservoirs, but that’s not an especially relevant consideration for this class of case.įor storage, users can install two 2.5” SSDs on the dedicated mounting trays secured to the back of the motherboard tray. Corsair says its Vengeance LPX DIMMS will be fine, so any that are the same height or less also will be. The roof offers support for 240mm and 280mm models in offset mounts, but anyone using the latter will need to make sure they’re using low-profile memory modules. Up front, there’s around 65mm of room in total for radiators and fans, with both 360mm and 280mm models supported. CPU coolers and GPUs are limited to 170mm tall and 360mm long, respectively. The airflow will probably be massively hampered by the side panel, and you’ll need to buy a riser cable and mount separately, but it’s a possibility at least. The expansion slot covers utilise thumbscrews too, and vertical slots also mean GPUs can be installed this way if desired. Motherboard mounts are pre-installed and include a longer central one to hold the board in place initially. This bracket can be easily shifted further forwards to make way for wider motherboards, with 277mm being the limit of the case for this. ![]() The motherboard tray doesn’t extend all the way to the front instead, there is a separate cable management bracket angled to create space for cables while hiding them from view and avoiding the need for grommet-covered holes. Once inside, you’ll find a typical mid-tower arrangement with a fixed and ventilated PSU shroud that has a front cutaway to make way for radiators. It’s a design we’ve not seen before and works well enough – not as secure as proper hinges, but that’s forgivable at the price, and it’s without a doubt better than traditional notches and rails along the top and bottom edges. The front edge of each panel has notches that slot into aligned holes that will hold the panels in place like a door as you close it. Both side panels have captive thumbscrews and a mounting mechanism that seeks to replicate hinged designs.

Ruiz has fast hands which usually surprise opponents, particularly early, because his body is big and not heavily muscled. If they fight, and remember, Wilder still needs to defeat Helenius for this to even become a possibility, he will give Ruiz almost no option but to stand in the pocket and trade punches. Joshua, too, is a harder hitter, but he doesn’t have the kind of undeniable belief in his power that Wilder does. That opened the door for Ruiz to step in. Wilder had spent years chasing a fight with Joshua with no luck, and eventually gave up and turned his attention to Tyson Fury. Ruiz made a calculated decision, which turned out to be correct, that he could land more right hands than Ortiz could land lefts.Īnd with time taking just a bit of zip off of Ortiz’s fastball, it was probably a wise though not wildly popular choice. To woodworkers, one of the greatest nightmares that come with the job is the formation of the sawdust. Sitting on a four-point plastic base, the RA1181, although stable within its own rights, may not provide the same dependable overall strength when compared to the previous model. Needless to say, in the long run, along with accurate precision, it helps to ensure durability against load-bearing wear-tears and prolonged usage. The wide base plate also provides additional strength to the whole structure. Because the cabinet style router has a broad, solid metal base is not very difficult to mount, assemble, and screw securely to a bench. One, it adds stability and two, it enhances the strength of the device. The base support of a router table is important for two reasons. Thus, guaranteeing solid stability, the RA1181 not only increases the precision aspect but also offers a comfortable space to work out large and heavy woodblocks. However, when it goes to the maximum fence opening measurements, the cabinet model provides a decent 3-3/16 inches of height, whereas the benchtop allows a commendable 3-5/8-inches in height. Two attributes that contribute to achieving smooth, frictionless operation accurate to the scales. Thereby, the need to purchase or alter the stock plates, as well as the resulting balance issues it creates in a RA1171, is completely made a non-factor in the later model altogether.įurthermore, the two Bosch model reveals the same 4-7/8 x 25-1/8 inches of an aluminum fence with flexible MDF faceplates (laminated) and feather boards. See the use of the words quite a few? However, the same number of mount rings in a RA1181 has been modified to cooperate with every type of router available in the market. To briefly elaborate, the interchangeable aluminum mount rings in RA1171 are cooperative with “quite a few” routers from other manufacturers. ![]() So what is the difference you are wondering? Well, the modification lies in the adaptability of the three swappable mounting plate rings, and also the height dimensions of the aluminum fences installed in the devices. Being able to work with a diverse range of materials, the stiff aluminum mount plate predrilled in the devices allows them to remain flat and steady therefore, ensure accurate measurements with every cut. When it comes to precision and versatility, the models are more or less similar. Once again, being a Bosch model, it again encourages a clean and quiet work environment by reducing the operational noise to a degree and including quality dust collecting ports. Sporting a large aluminum top and small footprint, the model is thereby spacious enough to handle large woodwork projects and easy to transport whenever and wherever required. The Bosch RA1181, on the other hand, weighs 30 pounds and offers 22.8 x 18 x 14.5 inches of dimension. ![]() To ensure an effective work environment, the model even takes the initiative to reduce the noise level during operations. Hence being a cabinet router, the RA1171 weighing 35 pounds provides 15.9 x 25.5 x 18 inches of premium quality aluminum work surface to facilitate any kind of routing and woodwork activities.Įasy to set on all workbench types, the model with its accommodating design makes it convenient for a variety of routers to fit seamlessly.Īnd because it endorses a cabinet structure, therefore you can bet that it offers room for storage and improved dust collection mechanisms. The differences between these two styles of designs are the weight, size, and storage space. ![]() One of the first changes between the two reflects that Bosch RA1171 is a cabinet style router table, whereas the Bosch RA1181 is a benchtop style table. But it's going to cost you over 4X more $$.Īnd again, I agree that there's no reason to bother building a 2 drive RAID for mechanical or SSDs. Now, if you want to create a RAID of 2 or 4 NVMe drives, you can match my capacity and totally blow away my SSD raid. My RAID is slightly cheaper than 1 NVMe - making up the difference. In raw speed, I give the edge to an NVMe drive - but only a slight edge. Comparatively, my read speed is slower while my write speed is faster than one NVMe drive. I bought my 240gb SSDs on sale for just over $42 each. I've seen NVMe drives costing over a thousand bucks each, and I wonder why anyone would pay that much. I'm sure you're aware that the I in RAID stands for 'inexpensive'. No RAID in sight.Īnd all individually backed up to my NAS box. SSD + RAID 0 was never relevant to start. I made space on the OS ssd yesterday and transfered the game on it. I have been using SSDs for the last 6 years and never had any problems, so this is an increased risk I can easily live with.Īs an example of a game, I'm a huge fan of flight simulators. Altough the chances of a failure would be greater. This would also means that if I have a drive failure, I have only a 75$ drive to replace, instead of a 150$ drive to replace. The only things I care about are capacity and performance. ![]() I don't care having to download everything again. I also have pretty fast unlimited internet. nothing I can'T simply reinstall in minutes. I would put Steam, Origin and Blizzard games on there. I do understand the risks of a drive failure in a raid-0 configuration. So almost the same capacity(480 vs 500), but I would have two disks in Raid-0 instead of a single one. What if I was gonna get two of those? would cost me the same (150$), but I would have 2x 240gb in raid 0. I checked on amazon.ca, and I found a 500gb WD ssd for 150$. Essentially, I have a small SSD for my OS, and a 7200rpm hdd for my games and data. With SSDs becoming more and more affoardable, I'm thinking about adding a big SSD to offload my games on. This might sound a bit limiting, but in actual fact this gives you a great deal of flexibility for programming microcontrollers. In short, almost all of the C standard library, most of the C++ syntax, but barely any of the C++ standard libraries are available to you in the Arduino environment. Fortunately, the standard C library was ported which offers a lot of the bells and whistles that standard C affords you. Some of the more commonly used C++ libraries such as STL are for good reasons missing from the AVR environment. ![]() While we have the core C/C++ syntax available to us, we have to separate in our minds the compiler from its libraries in order for this to make sense. This allows us to compile the C/C++ syntax to the machine instructions that the microcontroller can execute. Some time ago, the venerable GCC compiler was ported over to AVR, thus creating AVR-GCC. By default this family of microcontrollers make use of the existing AVR libraries and toolchain. Most but not all Arduinos on offer right now have an Atmel AVR Microcontroller at its core. But like most things in life, its not that simple. Example:for What Language Does Arduino UseĪt some point in your journey, you might wonder what language does Arduino use?
